Permit GIS data conversion
An ETL tool that converts and publishes GIS data every week for a county’s citizen self-service permit portal, back-office review portal, and mobile inspection app.
What it does
Each week the tool joins operational and utility GIS data with tax data, validates the result against a data hygiene matrix, and reformats it to a third-party schema. The output is delivered as GIS services to the permit portal, the review portal, and the mobile inspection app.
How it runs
The tool is written in PowerShell, Python, and T-SQL, runs weekly, and has been in continuous production since 2019.
